Welcome Jace Edward......3/30/2011

On Tuesday night (March 29, 2011) I started having contractions around 10:45pm. From 10:45-1:00am the contractions were not very consistant. Then right at 1:00am the contractions became regular every 2-3 mintues apart. We decided to go to the hospital. We got there and they hooked me up to the monitors and said that I was for sure having contractions and I was 2cm dilated. We stayed for an hour and they re-checked me to see if any progress had been made. After an hour, I was still having contractions 2-3 mintues apart and was still 2cm. They decided to send me home and told me to call my doctors office if the contractions continued and if they get any stonger so that I could go in and get checked again. We got home from the hospital around 5:30am in the monring. When we got home the contractions continued throughout the early morning hours and got stonger and stronger. Finally around 8:15am (Wednesday, March 30, 2011) I decided to call my doctors office and let them know that I had already been to the hospital and was sent home and that the contractions have continued and were exactly 2 mintues apart. They told me to come in the office to get checked and see if any progress had been made. When we got to the office I was 8cm dilated!!!!!! They put me straight in a wheelchair and took me over to the hospital for delivery. I started crying as I couldn't believe I had made that much progress in the short amount of time and I was excited to know that I would soon be holding my baby!!!! Lance began calling our parents to let them know to get to the hospital! When we got over to labor and delivery at the hospital, they checked me again and I was at 9cm. Everything from then happened really fast. They hooked me up to all the monitors and then I got my epidural at 9cm. It immediately began to work. The doctor soon came in a broke my water. Then we had our baby boy very soon after!!!!!

I was very emotional when Jace arrived!!! Tears began the minute I saw him!!!

Getting the first sponge bath...

On April 4, 2011 we went for Jace's first check up (5 days old). He did an awesome job. He weighed 7 lbs and 1oz. Dr. Owen said that he looked perfect.

I can't even explain how much we love our little man. We are truly blessed and thank GOD every day for blessing us with Jace. There have been a few times where I just cry as to how thankful I am. GOD is so GOOD and seeing this miracle has made me grow an even closer relationship with him!!! It's amazing!!!!!!!!

Jace has gotten both of us "wet" with teetee. And he even pooped on daddy at the doctor's office. We just laughed and laughed!!!

Lance has been wonderful!!! And I just love seeing him with Jace. It touches my heart in a way that I can't even explain!!!

We are enjoying this time with Jace and our new family of 4!! ( Mom, dad, Jace and Babe)

Jace has done great at night!! The first night he slept great but WE stayed up watching and checking on him. Jace is getting up every 3-4 hours to eat. He eats very well!!! We have been taking turns feeding him and rocking him back to sleep. LOVE these special bonding times!!!
