A weekend in Alabama.....and much more!!!

Mallory turns TWO!!!

We went to Alabama for the weekend to celebrate Mallory's 2nd Birthday!! We had a GREAT time as always!! The party was at an awesome park and the kids got to play. Then it started pouring down rain and they LOVED playing in the rain. After the party we went back to Kathy's house and Mallory and Jace got to play. I love watching our kids play when they get together! We stayed for a while and got to visit! Then we went to our hotel room for the night! We met for breakfast the next morning at Cracker Barrel and then headed home! Jace did a good job in the car! 

Kathy is my best friend and we have SO many memories together. I LOVE making new memories with our precious children and families!!! God has truly blessed us with an amazing friendship!!!

 The shopping cart was a hit and they loved playing with it. It was a battle to get them to share!! :)

What our little man has been up too:

• Jace just recently cut two more teeth. He now has 13!
• He is not the best eater. Some days he does great and then some days he doesn't. We constantly try new things. He loves to feed himself though. He loves chips, Popsicles, sweets, vanilla yogurt, ice cream (like his daddy), cheerios (he now eats it like a big boy in a bowl with milk), pretzels and pizza. 
• He LOVES his books and to point out all the animals and pictures that he knows. We LOVE reading his books with him. He is learning SO much. We go through the books asking him "Where's the _____" and he points to it. It's precious! He can say some of the words too!
• Jace absolutely LOVES trucks, buses and balls. He gets so excited when he sees a big dump truck or bus when we are driving down the road. It is really funny!!! Gigi just bought him a play bus and he plays with it ALL the time!! He puts the people in and out!!!
•   Lance just recently opened his own business. All we have to say to Jace is "Do you want to go to Daddy's work" and he gets SO excited!! He loves going to the warehouse!!
• WORDS!!! Jace is starting to say SO much!!! I think it will be very soon that he starts really talking. He can now say GiGi (for my mom), What's that, outside, Zebra, Giraffe, more, done, bus......
• He LOVES to give five and fist bumps!!
• At night, we can say "Let's go brush your teeth" and Jace will run to his bathroom, climb up on his stool, open the drawer, get out his toothbrush and toothpaste and start brushing his teeth. Then when we say "All done" he puts it back in the drawer, closes it and gets down. I LOVE watching him so this every night!! It's precious. He is really comprehending things when you talk to him now. He loves to help! If you ask to him throw something away, he goes right to the trash can. He is growing way too fast!!
• He still loves to play outside and in his truck! He also loves his little outdoor play set.
• He pretends to talk on the phone a lot. It is really funny to watch. He just babbles and babbles!
• Jace loves animals and can make a lot of the animal sounds.
• He likes to give kisses and "noses" this is where he rubs his nose against ours! It's very sweet!!!
• Jace loves to be rocked at bedtime. This is one of my favorite times. We always sing Jesus Loves Me and Twinkle Twinkle and some other songs too! I absolutely LOVE this cuddle time and cherish it!!! I am so thankful to be his mommy! 
• Jace is such an amazing little boy! He is always happy and just a joy to be around!! I thank GOD every day for blessing me with him!!! I am VERY PROUD to be his MOMMY!!
