One year shots.........

I took Jace for his one year old check-up the Tuesday after his birthday. He weighed 23 pounds and was 21 inches long. They pricked his finger first and he didn't fuss a bit. He just kept staring at the nurse trying to figure it all out! He did great!! Then Doctor Owen came in and checked Jace all out. Jace did great!!! We found out that two of his back teeth were already through the skin. We knew he had 7 teeth but didn't know he had 9!!! Then the nurse came in to give Jace his shots in his leg. He screamed!!! But then he calmed down pretty quick when it was all over. Overall, he did great for his check-up!!! Then...............we were almost home and Jace got sick in the car. When we got home, he got sick 4 more times during the evening. He couldn't even keep down water or a cracker. I called the doctor and they said it sounded like the stomach bug. He was pitiful!! It is not much fun when your little one is sick and they don't really know what is going on. He slept good that night and frank only Pedialyte the next day. Then Jace went a few days without drinking at all and I got scared about it. I called and we had to take him back to the doctor. They checked his ears and throat and said that everything looked okay. He wouldn't take a bottle or cup!! He would only takes drinks from our water bottles or cups. Then a few more days went by and he did not improve very much so we took him back to the doctor. And come to find out.....he had an ear infection!!! So now he is on medicine and we hope it clears up very soon!!! He is drinking and eating better now!!! Now we have to start working on getting rid of the bottle again!!! Turning one has been rough on our little guy!!!!! :( We are luckly that my wonderful mom keeps him during the day and has helped us get through this. GiGi is a huge blessing!!! I did take off to be with him today after a long restless night!!! We are praying he gets back to himself very soon!!!! Jace is always so happy and it is hard to see him not feeling well!!!
