The above pictures are very special to me!!! Arlee June is wearing my red dress from when I was a little girl! I am so glad that my mom saved all my stuff so that I can pass it down to my baby girl!!
We had a wonderful Christmas this year! It was Arlee June's FIRST Christmas and Jace was SO much fun!! He helped wrap presents, cook, decorate and much more. He loves to help!! Arlee June was a joy to watch this year too! She loved looking at the tree and lights. She also enjoyed opening her gifts. She babbled the entire time!
It is such a blessing to have kids especially around this time of year. We pray to teach both of our kids the true meaning of Christmas each year as they grow! We love Christmas time and are so thankful for our God and all that he does for us!
We started our family Christmas by going to PawPaw and Nana's house on the 21st. We had a wonderful dinner and exchanged gifts. Jace got some Mickey items and Arlee June got some clothes.
Then on the 23rd we had Christmas with Mama Jewel, NayNay, Andy, Amber, Dustin, Tony and Holly. We also celebrated Mama Jewel's and Andy's birthday. We had a great evening. Jace got a new jacket, some clothes and matchbox trucks. Arlee June also got a coat and clothes.
On Christmas Eve, we woke up and exchanged gifts with the "four of us"! We had a wonderful morning. We made breakfast and decorated a cookie cake for Santa. Jace got a doctors kit, cash register, book and plane from mommy and daddy. Arlee June got a baby doll, teething giraffe, toy phone and an alphabet wheel from mommy and daddy. We created many memories and look forward to the years ahead!
NayNay, Aunt Amber and Dustin came over at lunchtime on Christmas Eve to exchange gifts. Jace got an outfit, Woody, truck, basketball goal, and a new game for his small electronic "computer."
Christmas Eve night we had our family tradition of eating fried shrimp. Dinner was at our house this year. Uncle Bobby, Michelle and Maitland were in town. And all the Hustons came too! We had a great evening!!
Christmas day we woke up to see everything from SANTA!!! Wow....Jace and Arlee June sure were good this year!!! Jace got a big gator truck, blocks, parking garage, several firetrucks, cars, play-doh, Mickey underwear, writing boards, Mickey stuffed animal and more. Arlee June got a chair to match her brothers, a Minnie mouse stuffed animal, little mirror vanity, a few outfits, and a popping giraffe toy. They were both VERY EXCITED to see all their new toys. Santa ate all of the cookie that Jace put out and drank the milk. He even wrote Jace a note!! We stayed home all day!! It was wonderful! We got to play and enjoy our family time! We had lots of vistors....Poppy, GiGi, Bobby, Michelle, Maitland, NayNay, Mama Jewel, PawPaw, Nana, James, Judy, Amber, Dustin, Ap, Heather, Allie and Wesley. We had a great Christmas day!!
Then on the 26th we went to Poppy and GiGi's to celebrate with them and Uncle Cory and his family! We had another wonderful day with family! We had snack foods throughout the day and then had "breakfast" for dinner! It was yummy!!! We also exchanged gifts. Jace got lots of new trucks, a bronco with a trailer, a bobcat, and small truck and trailer that looks just likes his daddy, some new pj's, coloring books and colors, play-doh, a table with four chairs, puzzles, and more! He loved it all! Arlee June got a name puzzle, stool with her name, riding/walking toy, pj's, bibs, puzzle, clothes, a toy box and more! She liked all her new stuff too!!!
We had an amazing Christmas and it was so special having TWO children this year!! Happy Birthday Jesus!!!! We have so many blessings and created lots of memories this year!!!! We look forward to making more in the years to come!!
