January-February 2017

Starting the New Year:
We got the year started by staying the night at the river and enjoying the quiet family time. We love going to the cabin and spending time together!

Snow Day:
We got a day off school and enjoyed the snow! We played around the house, rode the side by side and went sledding at Uncle Cory's house. We had a great day and enjoyed the beautiful snow! Jace and Arlee June loved it!


Arlee June's new school:
Arlee June started a new Mother's Day Out program at First Baptist this month. Daddy took her and said she walked right in. She has adjusted well and seems to be loving her new class. She is learning a lot and we are very proud of the progress we are seeing! She is growing so fast and learning so much!

Family game night:
We recently made a new play room area upstairs and the kids love it! We spent an evening playing a memory match game and we had so much fun! Lots of laughs and memories were created! I love having quality family time! Jace and Arlee June are really good at playing games!

Jace's Awards day:
Jace received the Awesome Achiever Award (means that he got all +'s on his report card) and he also got the award for Citizenship! We are so proud of him!!

Jace basketball:
Basketball season started for Jace and he was so excited! He scored in every game except for the first one. A few games he got 10 points. He loves the game and has become more aggressive on the court. We love to watch him play! His favorite Grizzlies player is Vince Carter and anytime Jace scored he would put his hands back and run down the court the same way that Vince does! 

Building in workshop with Poppy:
Jace loves to spend time in the wood shop with his Poppy! He loves to build, paint and create new things! Poppy even built him his very own work desk in the shop! 

Daddy's Birthday:
We had all the family over to celebrate Lance's birthday! We had a great time and enjoyed being with everyone and celebrating the birthday boy! Happy 32nd Birthday to Lance!

100th day of school:
Jace had to dress like he was 100 years old! We put baby powder in his hair and he wore a sweater and some glasses! He looked adorable!

Hunting:
Jace loves to go duck hunting and deer hunting with his daddy! He has lots of came gear and knows all about hunting. He loves to come home and tell me all the details of what he saw and what he did. 

Arlee June playing with babies:
Arlee June LOVES her babies and she plays with them all the time! She spreads them all over the floor, puts them in the carrier, baby bed or highchair! She is a great little momma!



February

Visit with Kathy:
Kathy was in town for work so we got to meet up with her for dinner! I always love spending time with her and we enjoyed our evening. The kids stayed with Poppy and GiGi for a little while so that we could visit a while! 

Garth Brooks:
We went to the Garth concert with Courtney and Webb at the Fedex Forum! The concert was AMAZING!!! We had a great night and enjoyed every minute of it!!

Zoo day:
We had a family day and went to the Zoo after church one Sunday! The kids loved it and the weather was great!

Babe surgery:
Babe had to have some cysts removed and a small hernia. She had to stay the night at the vet for a few nights and then came home wearing a cone for a week! She did great recovering and we were glad when she got the cone off!

Riding bikes:
Jace is doing awesome riding without training wheels (he learned in August) and he loves to ride! Arlee June rides great too! I'm sure she will learn how to ride without training wheels soon!

Cabin:
We went to the River one weekend to check on everything and to clean out the storage shed so that the construction could start! We are very excited about this project of joining the houses together!

Valentines day:
Lance brought me flowers to work and Jace some chocolate candy! He also took a chocolate bouquet to Arlee June at her school!!! We sure are lucky to have him as our Valentine! We gave the kids a few goodies too! They are our sweet valentines! 

Disney program:
Jace had a Kindergarten Disney program at school and he did great! He dressed as Woody and looked adorable! The program was so cute! Arlee June wanted to dress up too so she went as Cinderella and she looked beautiful! 

Building:
Jace loves building and working in the shop! He created his very own game out of wood and had his daddy nail it all together. He was so excited about this! He also helped daddy fix the bird house.

Book character day:
Arlee June had book character day at school and she dressed as Anna. She looked precious and was so excited about wearing her dress to school! She had a fun day!

Truck table:
Jace is very organized and likes to keep all his trucks and trailers together.

Piggy tails:
Arlee June has gotten really into having her hair done! She likes piggy tails and braids. She looks precious when her hair is all fixed up! 

First outside run:
I finally got to run outside again after my injury and it felt SO good! I hope to get back on a steady running routine again soon! I was proud of myself for getting back at it! 

Arlee June horse lessons with Knox:
Arlee June went with GiGi to watch Knox at horse lessons and she loved every second of it. She also got to ride on one of the horses! She came home telling me all about it! She loves horses and I think we might have horse lessons in our future! 

Mommy birthday/Grizz floor:
We celebrated my birthday a few days early at Poppy and GiGi's. We had Chinese and peach cobbler. It was yummy! On my actual birthday we went to Chili's and we had a Grizzlies game. We got lucky and a friend gave us floor seats! We had a great time! The kids took turns sitting with mommy and daddy on the front row! I had a great birthday!
