December 2016 

Decorating for Christmas:
Jace and Arlee June were really into decorating this year and getting the tree all set up. I loved watching their excitement!! 

Megan's wedding:
We had a great evening at Megan's wedding. The kids danced and danced! Everything was very nice!!

Santa:
We always love going to see Santa!! Jace and Arlee June were so ready this year!! They went right up to him and told him their wish list! Jace wasn't shy at all and Arlee June tried to act a little shy! 
Jace's list- remote control helicopter, Batman watch with a light on it and a skateboard
Arlee June's list- hair chair for her doll, little ponies, and an Anna and Elsa watch with a light on it 

Polar Express Train Ride:
We surprised the kids and went to ride the Polar Express train! They had no idea we were going and they were SO excited when we got there! We had a great evening riding the train, singing Christmas songs, eating cookies and seeing Santa!

Arlee June's program:
Arlee June dressed as an angel in her three year old Mother's Day Out program! She did a great job on stage! She was very well behaved and participated! She looked adorable! We were very proud of her! After the program, we went to her classroom and stayed for the class Christmas party! She had a good time!

Santa and firetruck:
Every year at Christmas, Santa drives through the neighborhood riding on the firetruck! We love being home for this tradition!! This year on the speaker we hear...."Merry Christmas, Lance Scoggins and family" The kids LOVED it!!! 

Mama Jewel's 80th Birthday:
We had a surprise party for Mama Jewel at the bowling ally! She was very surprised and we had a lot of fun bowling! 

Jace's school party:
Jace was very excited for his class Christmas party at school! He got to wear pajamas and take his own breakfast. His daddy went to the donut shop and got him some donuts and chocolate milk. Daddy also went to the party to hang out with him! 

Christmas Goodies:
The kids and I had a blast cooking and baking all kinds of Christmas treats! We made sugar cookies, chocolate chip cookies, pecan pies, ritz covered crackers, pretzels and peanut butter chex mix. Jace and Arlee June love helping me in the kitchen! I love the sweet memories we make together! 

Looking at lights:
We love driving around, listening to Christmas music and looking at lights!! It's one of our favorite things to do! We went to Christmas City a few times and drove through several neighborhoods! 

Gingerbread houses:
The kids always like making gingerbread houses! They love being crafty! They turned out really cute!

The 22nd at PawPaws and Nana's:
We began our Christmas get togethers on the 22nd! We had dinner and gifts at PawPaw and Nana's house! We had a great evening! I love Christmastime!

Christmas Eve:
We began the day by making pancakes. Then the four of us opened gifts together. Then NayNay, Aunt Amber and Chris came over for lunch and to open gifts! Then the kids took a little nap. We went to candlelight at church and then over to Cory and Lindsay's house for snacks and games! We had a great day!!! 

Christmas Day:
Jace and Arlee June like to sleep in and we were anxiously awaiting for them to wake up! They finally woke up at 8:30 and were SO excited to see that Santa came and brought lots of goodies!!!!! We played for awhile and then got ready for church! Poppy and GiGi came to our church! After church, we came home, played and cooked lunch! We stayed home the entire day and had a wonderful time celebrating our Lord! Jace and Arlee June sang Happy Birthday to Jesus and it was so sweet!!! We had a fantastic day!

The 26th:
We went to Poppy and GiGi's for our family Christmas get together! The kids played and we ate snacks!! Then we all opened gifts and the kids began playing with some new toys! Later in the day we had our annual shrimp dinner! What a great end to this Christmas season!! We had another wonderful day with our family celebrating the true meaning of Christmas! 

River for New Years:
We enjoy going to the river for New Years! We went on Friday and stayed through Sunday. We enjoyed relaxing and having a nice quiet weekend! On New Years Eve we went over to our friends house in Pickwick. (David and Melissa Turner) We had fun! We ate and played cards! We had fun visiting and the kids enjoyed playing!!
